THE OGLES UPDATE: Fighting to End The Deep State

December 6, 2023
Newsletters

While America's status seems dismal at the moment, I am fighting to restore a sliver of hope in our Congress any way I can. America's problems are great, but with courage and a will to fight I believe we can turn things around.

Last week, I sponsored legislation that would take power away from unelected bureaucrats and the Deep State. In conversations with Speaker Johnson, my colleagues, or corrupt lobbyists, my position is always the same: we must shrink government, drain the swamp, and put America first. I am blessed to do that for Tennessee's Fifth District, and I promise to always stand in the gap.

End The Deep State Act

In October, 2020, President Trump signed an executive order creating a new “Schedule F” employment category for federal employees.  This category applied to career bureaucrats who served in positions of a “confidential, policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating character.”  Employees in Schedule F jobs could be moved out of those roles and replaced with other career employees more able or willing to faithfully implement government policy.

While President Biden rescinded this executive order at the start of his presidency, the Office of Personnel Management recently issued a proposed rule to prevent it from being reinstated by the next President. The intent of this rule is to prevent a Republican President from staffing their administration with America-first employees faithful to the American Republic. My bill forces Joe Biden to remove the rule.

Urging UAP Transparency

Rep. Ogles press conference for UAP transparency

I recently joined the Congressional UAP Caucus along with Reps: Tim Burchett (TN-02); Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13); Eric Burlison (MO-07); Jared Moskowitz (FL-23); and Nancy Mace (SC-01). This is a bi-partisan group of Representatives that have led the effort in investigating, researching, and calling out intelligence agencies on their refusal to de-classify information on UAP's or "unidentified aerial phenomena."

I have interviewed multiple high level military and intelligence officers on this phenomena and their testimonies indicated these objects fly dangerously close to key intelligence and nuclear sites. These UAP's pose a serious risk to national security and something must be done to create transparency and accountability for the American people.

Whether it be little green men or Chinese Communists– America needs to be informed and prepared against any unknown threat in our airspace. We cannot address this crisis if we are only drip-fed information at the whims of unelected bureaucrats. UAP's are an America first issue, and the people must be informed not ignored by their government.
