Ogles Leads Charge to Denaturalize and Deport Zohran Mamdani
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-5) has sent a letter requesting that the Department of Justice provide an update on investigating New York Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani’s naturalization documents over his publicized support for the five convicted jihadists running the “Holy Land Foundation,” an organization that funneled millions of dollars to Hamas, a designated terrorist group.
Congressman Ogles initially sent a letter on June 26th, 2025, to the Department of Justice detailing Mamdani’s previous ties and vocal support for terrorist organizations, and requested the Attorney General investigate.
“If Mamdani lied on his naturalization documents, he doesn’t get to be a citizen, and he certainly doesn’t get to run for mayor of New York City,” said Congressman Ogles. "A great American city is on the precipice of being run by a communist who has publicly embraced a terroristic ideology. The American naturalization system REQUIRES any alignments with communism or terrorist activities to be disclosed. I’m doubtful he disclosed them. If this is confirmed, put him on the first flight back to Uganda,” Congressman Ogles said.
