WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Andy Ogles introduced the Anchors Away Act, legislation to end birth tourism and clarify that automatic birthright citizenship does not extend to children born in the United States to foreign nationals who are not subject to the full jurisdiction of the United States.
 

The Anchors Away Act amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to clarify when a child born in the United States is considered “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States.

The roundtable focused on bolstering local manufacturing, expanding workforce development, strengthening technical training, and onshoring manufacturing jobs back to Tennessee.
