H.R. 2659 enhances the federal government’s ability to identify and counter state-sponsored cyber operations by improving coordination across national security agencies.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-5) has sent a letter requesting that the Department of Justice provide an update on investigating New York Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani’s naturalization documents over his publicized support for the five convicted jihadists running the “Holy Land Foundation,” an organization that funneled millions of dollars to Hamas, a designated terrorist group.

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Andy Ogles questioned witnesses during the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). His questions centered on whistleblower-obtained footage from October 2024 that was presented during the hearing. The footage showed an MQ-9 Reaper drone allegedly tracking a flying orb off the coast of Yemen. The Reaper drone launched a missile at the unidentified object; the object sustained no identifiable damage and continued its flight pattern.

WASHINGTON, DC Congressman Andy Ogles introduced the “Capitol Emergency Control Act,” which empowers President Trump to extend his federalization of D.C. amidst the national emergency created by Mayor Bowser and the rogue City Council. This legislation amends Section 740 of the D.C. Home Rule Act to permit the President to extend his emergency authority, in 30-day increments, for as long as may be necessary to maintain peace. Under this bill, this action can only be halted by formal Congressional disapproval.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-5) introduced the “Protecting Law Enforcement from Doxxing Act,” legislation that would make it a federal crime to maliciously publish the personal information of ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers in ways that put them at risk of targeted harassment, assault, and murder. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is co-leading this effort in the Senate.

Washington, DC - Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-05) passed the “Protecting Information by Local Leaders for Agency Resilience Act” through the House Committee on Homeland Security. This bipartisan legislation would renew the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program, which provides $1 billion to strengthen underfunded state and local cybersecurity systems.

WASHINGTON, DC — After securing House passage of amendments supporting the expansion of community-based care for veterans, Congressman Ogles is thrilled to welcome a $74 million award for Veterans Affairs (VA) Community-Based Outpatient Clinic to Davidson County. The facility will offer services including medical treatment, counseling, and community-based programs. Congressman Ogles, along with President Trump and other congressional Republicans, promised to invest in the VA and improve veterans’ care systems, and they are keeping that promise.
