Delivering Wins for Veterans

The House recently passed H.R. 4366, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. This legislation oversees the appropriation of the Department of Veterans Affairs and other U.S. Military Construction.

Three amendments that I submitted to H.R. 4366 were included in the final legislation’s passage. These amendments increase funding for in-home health care, improve VA Home Loan informational materials and funding for VA medical services regarding PTSD.

Rep. Ogles Speaks To Defend Veterans

While Joe Biden and his corrupt band of bureaucrats continue to weaken our military and threaten our nation's security, I fought to make sure that Congress allows veterans to have complete transparency and choice when navigating their benefits.

By allowing veterans to be presented with possible alternatives to a VA Home Loan within informational materials, our heroes can have confidence when making critical decisions. Furthermore, my amendments broaden access to in-home health care and bring more resources to veterans who suffer from PTSD.

Make no mistake. I will always fight for America's veterans and will never stop leading the charge to improve VA services and processes.

Rep. Ogles Moves To Ban CBDC

“The establishment of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) would compromise the privacy and personal lives of every American,” Ogles said in a statement to the Daily Caller.

“Last fall, Biden signed an executive order for the exploration of implementing a CBDC in the United States, and the Federal Reserve has been conducting pilot programs and studies to assess the viability of a CBDC. The federal government’s dangerous experimentation with greater control over Americans should alarm us all – China has implemented a CBDC and that should tell folks all they need to know about it,” Ogles added.

“This is an obvious gateway to a social credit system potentially giving the government the ability to prohibit undesirable purchases like ammunition or fuel. We must never allow that kind of threat to our liberty. My bill would block the federal government from ever establishing a Centralized Bank Digital Currency or a ‘Communist-Backed Dollar Control,’ as I like to call it.”

Rep.Ogles Speaks With Constituent

This week, I met with local business leaders and elected officials at the Wilson County Veterans Museum. I had the opportunity to share about what I’ve been doing in Washington to serve our veterans and armed forces servicemembers. It was great to meet so many Tennesseans who are unafraid to stand in the gap and fight for America and her principles.

I also attended the Wilson County Chamber of Commerce meeting in Lebanon. Small businesses are the heart and soul of our district. Getting together with local professionals to discuss their experiences plays a large part in my decision-making. I hope to be there again soon!
