Newsletters

Be sure to tune in TONIGHT's telephone town hall! At 5:30 PM (ct), I will be joined by Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to discuss what we've been up to here in Washington before turning the night over to questions from constituents.

Telephone town halls are one of my favorite ways to connect with folks on a variety of issues. To call-in and join us tonight, simply dial 833-380-0636. To ask a question, press STAR 3 and staff will take your question and add it to the queue!

HOUSE PASSES NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT

“Last week, House Republicans passed one of the most conservative annual defense policy bills in decades. We've seen tenacity at work this past week. Our dedicated members submitted a record number of amendments to the NDAA, ensuring it leans more towards true conservative values. The painstaking yet fruitful amendment process demonstrated the might of conservatism, and there's no doubt in my mind - this NDAA is a decisive victory for conservative principles.

We've made some pivotal decisions. We voted to eliminate the use of taxpayer funds for service members to travel for an abortion, blocked any funds from landing in the hands of entities overseen by the Iranian government, and proudly backed our stalwart allies in Taiwan and Israel, among many other steps forward.

The result? An NDAA that robustly empowers our military, making sure it focuses squarely on its prime directive – defending our great nation from threats, rather than becoming distracted by woke ideology. We've always stood for American principles, and this NDAA is a testament to that unwavering commitment."
